Kogi Anti-Fraud Campaign Partners Federal University Lokoja to Promote Ethical Awareness Among Students

The Kogi Anti-Fraud Campaign has announced plans to strengthen collaboration with tertiary institutions to address rising concerns over fraudulent activities among youths.

Led by Hon. Oluseyi Kelvin Eleta, Senior Special Assistant on Fraud and Internet Matters to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, the campaign team held a strategic engagement with the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja, Prof. Gbenga Solomon Ibileye. The meeting aimed to introduce the objectives of the Anti-Fraud Campaign to the university community and promote ethical awareness among students.

During the session, the campaign emphasized student sensitization, value reorientation, and proactive measures to prevent fraudulent practices. Prof. Ibileye welcomed the initiative, highlighting its importance in tackling social vices and pledging full institutional support to reduce incidents of fraud on campus.

He also advised the campaign team on practical strategies, stressing the need for sustained engagement, structured awareness programs, and active collaboration with relevant university stakeholders. Both parties agreed to organize a comprehensive campus awareness campaign in the coming months.

The engagement featured key campaign members, including Hon. Munirat Bint Ibrahim, Senior Special Assistant on Women Entrepreneurship to the Governor, and Comrade Gbenga Adeyemi, Vice Chairman (West) of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter.

This collaboration is part of the Anti-Fraud Campaign’s wider outreach strategy aimed at building partnerships with higher education institutions, fostering ethical conduct, and promoting responsible behavior among students across Kogi State.
