National Association of Okun Students announces 2026 Youth Development Summit with digital skills training to empower students across Okun land.

The National Association of Okun Students (NAOS) has announced plans to host the 2026 edition of the Okun Students and Youth Development Summit, aimed at equipping young people with the skills and knowledge needed for personal growth and societal impact.

The announcement was made in a statement issued by the National President of the association, Olu Opeyemi Precious, who described the summit as a strategic initiative designed to empower students and youths across Okun land.

According to the statement, the summit is scheduled to hold on June 26, 2026, and will convene students, young professionals, community leaders, and other stakeholders for engagements focused on leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.

As part of pre-summit activities, NAOS will organise a week-long virtual training programme aimed at enhancing participants’ digital competencies. The training will cover areas such as graphic design, web development, digital marketing, and other emerging technology skills.

The association noted that the initiative underscores its commitment to youth empowerment through practical capacity building, beyond advocacy. It added that the summit is expected to nurture a new generation of forward-thinking Okun youths equipped to contribute meaningfully to national development.

While the venue for the event is yet to be disclosed, organisers assured that further details, including registration guidelines, speakers, and programme schedule, will be communicated in due course.

NAOS urged students and youths across Okun land to take advantage of the opportunity to acquire relevant skills, build networks, and prepare for future leadership roles.
