LASG DG Yomi Olorunshola, Chief Kunle Abogun Intervene in Mopamuro ADC Supporters’ Grievances
LASG Director-General Dr. Yomi Charles Olorunshola and Elders Advisory Council member Chief Kunle Abogun have appealed to aggrieved Leke Abejide supporters in Mopamuro to remain calm, promising to address their complaints over alleged marginalisation.

The Director-General of the Leke Abejide Support Group (LASG), Dr. Yomi Charles Olorunshola, and a member of the group’s Elders Advisory Council, Chief Kunle Abogun, have intervened in a dispute involving aggrieved supporters of Rt. Hon. Leke Joseph Abejide under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Mopamuro Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The intervention followed complaints by the supporters, who expressed dissatisfaction over what they described as marginalisation and exclusion from political activities associated with Abejide in the local government.
The aggrieved supporters met with Chief Abogun at Aiyetegun, Mopamuro, where they alleged that some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from different wards had sidelined them despite their loyalty and commitment to the political cause of the federal lawmaker.
Responding to the complaints, Dr. Olorunshola appealed to the affected supporters to remain calm, assuring them that their concerns would be communicated to the appropriate quarters for consideration and necessary redress.
He stressed the importance of fairness, inclusiveness and unity among supporters, noting that these values were essential to maintaining a strong and effective support network for Abejide.
The LASG Director-General urged the aggrieved ADC members not to allow their concerns to undermine their commitment to the collective political vision associated with the lawmaker. He also encouraged continued cooperation and grassroots engagement among supporters across Mopamuro and the wider Yagba Federal Constituency.
The intervention was aimed at addressing the grievances raised, rebuilding confidence among the affected supporters and ensuring that individuals who have contributed to Abejide’s political activities are treated fairly, irrespective of their party affiliations.
The LASG leadership’s response also highlighted the importance of dialogue and consultation in resolving disagreements within a support network, particularly where questions of participation and recognition arise.
The meeting ended with renewed hope among the supporters, who were encouraged to remain committed to their respective wards while awaiting further action on the issues raised.
The development highlights the role of the Leke Abejide Support Group leadership in pursuing dialogue and conflict resolution, with emphasis on fairness, inclusiveness and grassroots mobilisation as important factors in sustaining unity among the lawmaker’s supporters.
