Yagba West Assembly Aspirant, Akure, Rallies Support for ADC Membership Drive

A House of Assembly aspirant for Yagba West Constituency in Kogi State under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dr. Toyosi Akure, has called for an aggressive membership drive to strengthen the party’s presence across the constituency and the state.

Akure made the call during a stakeholders’ meeting held at the ADC Secretariat in Yagba West, where membership cards were formally distributed to acting ward chairmen across the 14 wards in the local government area.

The exercise, party officials said, marks a significant step in expanding the ADC’s grassroots structure, with ward leaders now tasked with mobilising and registering new members within their respective communities.

Speaking at the event, the aspirant emphasised the importance of building a strong and inclusive political movement capable of driving meaningful development. He noted that the growing participation within the party reflects increasing public interest in alternative political platforms.

According to him, the strengthening of party structures at the ward level will play a crucial role in positioning the ADC for future electoral contests in the state.

Party members present at the meeting described the exercise as a milestone in the ongoing efforts to deepen the party’s reach, expressing optimism that the initiative would boost its visibility and acceptance among the electorate.

The event concluded with a renewed commitment by party stakeholders to sustain mobilisation efforts, with a shared vision anchored on unity and collective progress, encapsulated in the slogan, “One Kogi, One Destiny.”
