Ofu LGA Vice Chairman Ojati Joy Omaga Dies Suddenly

Vice Chairman of Ofu Local Government, Ojati Joy Omaga, has passed away, with council chairman mourning her contributions and service to the people.

The Vice Chairman of Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Mrs. Ojati Joy Omaga, has died.

Her passing was confirmed in a statement issued by the Executive Chairman of the council, Hon. Musa Muhammad Lawal, and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Adama Abubakar.

According to the statement, the vice chairman died on Saturday in what was described as a sudden development, throwing the council and stakeholders into mourning.

The chairman noted that the late Omaga made notable contributions to the growth and development of Ofu Local Government during her time in office, adding that her absence would be deeply felt by the people and the political community.

“The entire Ofu Local Government, critical stakeholders, and party faithful will greatly miss her presence and service. Her contributions to the development of the area will not be forgotten,” the statement read.

Hon. Lawal offered prayers for the repose of her soul, asking God to forgive her shortcomings and grant her eternal rest.

He added that details of her burial arrangements would be communicated to the public in due course by the local government council.
