The Chairman of the Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC), Kogi State Chapter, Comr. Oloruntoba Moses Juwon, has commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for approving ₦2 billion for the rehabilitation and upgrading of the Kabba Zonal Hospital.

Juwon described the approval as a significant step towards strengthening healthcare delivery in Kogi State, particularly in the Western Senatorial District, where the Kabba Zonal Hospital serves as an important healthcare facility for residents across several communities.

The NYC chairman said the decision demonstrated the Ododo administration’s commitment to improving access to quality and functional healthcare services for the people of the state.

According to him, investment in healthcare infrastructure remains critical to the wellbeing of citizens, adding that the rehabilitation and upgrading of the hospital would improve the working environment for healthcare professionals and enhance the quality of care available to patients.

He commended Governor Ododo for making the health sector an important component of his administration’s development agenda, noting that the approval would bring renewed confidence to residents who depend on the facility for medical services.

Juwon further urged the state government to ensure effective implementation of the project and timely delivery of the upgraded facility, stressing that the people of Kogi State deserve healthcare institutions that are properly equipped and capable of responding to their needs.

He said the NYC Kogi State Chapter would continue to support initiatives that promote youth welfare, human capital development and improved public services across the state.

The approval, as reported by Majiyagbe Media Network on September 10, 2026, is part of Governor Ododo’s healthcare transformation agenda aimed at rehabilitating and upgrading the Kabba Zonal Hospital.

The NYC chairman congratulated the people of Kabba and the entire Kogi West Senatorial District on the development, describing it as an investment with the potential to deliver lasting benefits to present and future generations.
