Mopamuro APC Leaders Back Ademola Bello’s Re-election Bid as Campaign Train Moves Across LGA

APC leaders, stakeholders and supporters in Mopamuro LGA have rallied behind Chairman Ademola Bello’s second-term bid, as Yomi Awoniyi and other party chieftains call for unity ahead of the Kogi local government elections.

The re-election campaign of the Executive Chairman of Mopamuro Local Government Area, Hon. Ademola Bello, has received renewed support from APC leaders, party stakeholders and supporters following a campaign rally across the local government ahead of the forthcoming Kogi State Local Government Council Elections.

The campaign train, led by the Campaign Council Chairman, Hon. Femi Fanwo, and Director-General, Hon. Ajayi Temitope, recorded a strong turnout as party faithful, women, youth groups and other stakeholders gathered to demonstrate their support for Bello’s second-term ambition.

The campaign also attracted the former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Arc. Yomi Awoniyi, alongside other prominent APC leaders and stakeholders in Mopamuro.

As part of the day’s activities, the Campaign Council paid a royal visit to the palace of the Elulu of Mopa and Chairman of the Mopamuro Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun, to seek royal blessings ahead of the electioneering exercise.

Following the palace visit, APC members from across Mopamuro converged on the party secretariat in Mopa for a general meeting, where they expressed their support for Bello’s re-election bid. The gathering also featured the unveiling of APC councillorship candidates across the local government’s 10 wards.

Addressing party members at the meeting, Arc. Awoniyi commended Bello for what he described as his performance in office and efforts to promote unity within the APC in Mopamuro.

He urged party members to close ranks, remain committed to the party’s collective interest and intensify their efforts to secure victory for the APC in the forthcoming local government elections.

Awoniyi’s remarks underscored the campaign council’s emphasis on party cohesion and grassroots mobilisation as the election approaches.

In his response, Hon. Ademola Bello expressed appreciation to the Campaign Council, party leaders and supporters for the confidence and overwhelming support shown towards his second-term ambition.

He assured the people of Mopamuro that, if re-elected, he would remain committed to serving their interests and would not disappoint the confidence reposed in him.

The campaign activities mark a significant phase in the APC’s mobilisation efforts in Mopamuro as Bello seeks another term as local government chairman.
