Meseko to Tinubu: Okun People Will Repay Goodwill

The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Duro Meseko, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as his inclusive leadership and goodwill toward Kogi State, particularly the Okun nation, through strategic federal appointments.
Meseko made the remarks during a colourful homecoming reception held in honour of the newly appointed Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, Adeyemi Sam Onimode. The event, organised by his community, drew a large turnout of political stakeholders, traditional leaders, party faithful, and well-wishers from across Kogi State.
Amid celebrations and commendations, the APC chieftain said the appointment of Onimode reflects President Tinubu’s recognition of the contributions, competence, and potential of the Okun people in national development. He described the gesture as a demonstration of fairness and inclusiveness in federal appointments under the current administration.
“The Okun people do not take goodwill for granted. We are a people known for sincerity and appreciation. At the appropriate time, we will surely repay this gesture,” Meseko stated, underscoring a strong sense of gratitude within the community.
He further portrayed the Okun nation as dependable and loyal, expressing confidence that the people would continue to support the President and his administration in advancing national progress.
Meseko also offered prayers for the new Controller General, seeking divine wisdom, strength, and guidance for Onimode as he assumes leadership of the Federal Fire Service. He expressed optimism that the appointee would distinguish himself in office and bring honour not only to Kogi State but to the country at large.
