Grassroots Supporters Back Senator Sunday Karimi for 2027 Kogi West Senatorial Race

Supporters across the seven local government areas of Kogi West have endorsed Senator Sunday Steven Karimi for another term, citing his projects and grassroots impact.

LOKOJA — Supporters of Senator Sunday Steven Karimi from across the seven local government areas of Kogi West Senatorial District have reaffirmed their support for the lawmaker ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was announced in Lokoja during a gathering of grassroots mobilizers and political supporters under the platform of the Sunday Karimi Progressive Movement.

Speaking at the meeting, the Coordinator of the movement, Hon. Abdulganiyu Abdullahi, described Senator Karimi as a performing legislator whose projects and interventions have continued to impact communities across Kogi West.

According to him, the senator has earned the trust and confidence of many residents through his contributions to infrastructure development, youth empowerment, education support, and community-based initiatives.

“Senator Sunday Steven Karimi remains a leader the people believe in because his representation has produced visible results across the district,” Abdullahi stated.

He said the gathering of supporters from different parts of Kogi West reflected the growing grassroots backing for the senator’s political future.

The coordinator urged members of the movement and party supporters to return to their various communities and intensify grassroots engagement ahead of the next election cycle.

He stressed the importance of sustained political mobilization and community interaction as part of efforts to consolidate support across the senatorial district.

Abdullahi also expressed confidence in the political alliance between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, and Senator Karimi, noting that continued cooperation among progressive leaders would strengthen development efforts in Kogi West.

He described the senator as a politician with an inclusive leadership style, adding that his approach to governance and relationship with constituents had contributed to his popularity within the district.

Supporters at the meeting maintained that Senator Karimi’s legislative performance and constituency projects have positioned him as a strong political figure ahead of future electoral contests.
