Peace Horizon International Secures Partnership with JNI, NSCDC for Kogi Peace Project

Lokoja, Kogi State – Peace Horizon International World Peace Ambassadors has recorded a major breakthrough in its campaign for sustainable peace following the endorsement and partnership commitments secured from the Kogi State chapter of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
The development came after separate courtesy visits by the leadership of the organisation to the two institutions in Lokoja, where discussions centred on strengthening collaboration for the implementation of the Peace Project across the state.
At the JNI Secretariat, the delegation met with the Chairman of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Kogi State Chapter, Ambassador Usman E. Bello, alongside the organisation’s Secretary, Alhaji Isah Adeboye. Following deliberations, the Islamic body formally endorsed the Peace Horizon International World Peace Ambassadors initiative and accepted a partnership aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence, conflict prevention and community development.
The organisation described the endorsement as another milestone in its drive to build a broad-based coalition of stakeholders committed to advancing peace, tolerance and security in Kogi State and beyond.
In a related development, the leadership of Peace Horizon International also paid a courtesy visit to the Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), where it held talks with the State Commandant, Commandant Aletan Ebenezer.
At the end of the meeting, the Commandant officially endorsed the Kogi Peace Project and confirmed the NSCDC’s partnership with Peace Horizon International World Peace Ambassadors.
The partnership is expected to strengthen efforts toward enhancing public safety, building community resilience and fostering lasting peace through collaborative initiatives involving security agencies, religious organisations, traditional institutions and community stakeholders.
Speaking on the development, the organisation expressed optimism that the partnerships would significantly enhance the implementation of the Peace Project and contribute to a safer and more peaceful society through sustained dialogue, public enlightenment and collaborative peace-building initiatives.
The Peace Horizon International World Peace Ambassadors is led by its Founder, Mohammed Abarkaka, alongside Co-founders Haruna Abdul Dahiru, Charles Oraekie, Inah Emmanuel Makoji, Danjuma Saidu, Ekene Ugwuanyi, Areh Ayobami Christiana and Musa Onalo.
The organisation said the endorsements by JNI and the NSCDC represent significant milestones in its mission to unite institutions, security agencies, faith-based organisations and communities in the pursuit of sustainable peace, security and social harmony.
Speaking on the growing support for the initiative, the Founder of Peace Horizon International World Peace Ambassadors, Mohammed Abarkaka, said the organisation remains committed to expanding the Peace Project beyond Kogi State to the national, continental and global levels.
According to him, the vision of the organisation is to build a worldwide movement that promotes dialogue, tolerance, peaceful coexistence and collective action against violence and conflict.
“Our vision is to stage the Peace Project across Kogi State, Nigeria, Africa and the world at large. We believe that peace is the foundation for sustainable development, and by bringing together governments, security agencies, religious bodies, traditional institutions, civil society organisations and citizens, we can build safer, more united and prosperous communities for future generations,” Abarkaka said.
He added that the organisation would continue to engage strategic partners across different sectors, noting that the endorsement and partnership with JNI and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps represent only the beginning of a broader campaign to mobilise institutions and individuals in support of lasting peace.
With the latest partnerships secured, Peace Horizon International World Peace Ambassadors said it is poised to intensify its peace advocacy programmes, community engagements and strategic collaborations as it works towards making the Peace Project a unifying platform for sustainable peace and development across Kogi State, Nigeria, Africa and the global community.
