Obaro Emmanuel Awards ₦100,000 Bursary to 100 Yagba East Students

Hon. Emmanuel Obaro, member representing Yagba East in Kogi State House of Assembly has launched a bursary initiative for students of Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State, with each beneficiary receiving ₦100,000 in educational support.

The intervention covers all 10 political wards in Yagba East, with 10 students selected from each ward, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 100 students and the overall financial commitment to ₦10 million.

The initiative has received commendation from government officials and other stakeholders, who described it as a timely intervention capable of easing the financial pressure faced by students and their families.

Speaking on the development, stakeholders noted that educational support of this nature could make a meaningful difference to students, particularly at a time when the cost of education continues to place significant demands on families.

Students from the various wards also expressed appreciation to Obaro for what they described as a generous gesture and demonstration of commitment to the educational advancement of young people in Yagba East.

The beneficiaries, while thanking him for the support, pledged their continued encouragement for his political aspirations and expressed confidence in his leadership. They assured Obaro of the support of Yagba East youths and students as he seeks a second term in office.

The bursary scheme has consequently been viewed by beneficiaries and community stakeholders as an investment in young people and an indication of the importance being attached to education and youth development in Yagba East.

For the students, the intervention goes beyond the financial value of the bursary, as it provides encouragement at a critical stage of their academic journey and reinforces the message that their educational aspirations matter to their community and leaders.
