Atunluse of Otafun Amuro Commiserates with Otafun Community as Oludero Joins his Ancestors
The Atunluse of Otafun Amuro, Chief Kingsley Femi Fanwo, and his wife, Mrs. Ruth Roseline Fanwo, the Yeye Atunluse of Otafun Amuro, have expressed deep sorrow over the transition of His Royal Highness, the Oludero of Otafun Amuro, HRH Oba Kayode Atteh who has gone to join his ancestors.
In a condolence message, the couple described the monarch’s transition as a profound loss to Otafun Amuro, Amuroland, and the entire Mopamuro Local Government Area, noting that the late royal father devoted his life to the service of his people and the preservation of the community’s cherished traditions and values.
They extended their heartfelt condolences to the Otafun Traditional Council, the Otafun Amuro Development Association (ODA), the Alamuro of Amuro, the Amuro Traditional Council, the royal family, and the entire people of Otafun Amuro, praying that God would grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
According to them, the transition of a traditional ruler is a solemn reminder of the enduring responsibility of every member of the community to preserve the unity, peace, and heritage bequeathed by their forebears.
Fanwo said this was a time for the entire community to stand together in sober reflection, celebrate the exemplary life of the departed monarch, and draw inspiration from his commitment to the growth and development of Otafun Amuro.
“The late Oludero contributed his quota to the development of our community before going to join his ancestors. His reign was marked by a genuine desire for peace, unity, and progress, and his legacy will continue to inspire generations of our people,” he said.
He urged sons and daughters of Otafun Amuro, both at home and in the diaspora, to remain united and committed to the ideals for which the late monarch stood, stressing that the greatest honour the community could bestow on him was to sustain the peace and pursue the development of the land.
The Atunluse prayed that the Almighty would grant the departed royal father eternal rest among his noble ancestors and guide the community through the period of mourning with wisdom, strength, and unity.
