APC Ward 08 Leaders Endorse Hon. Emmanuel Obaro for Second Term in Kogi Assembly

Isanlu, Kogi State – Leaders and executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 08 have unanimously endorsed the member representing Yagba East State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Emmanuel Obaro, for a second term ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was made during a ward meeting held on Thursday, where party executives expressed strong support for Obaro’s continued representation in the state legislature, citing his contributions to community development and grassroots engagement.

Speaking after the meeting, the APC Ward Chairman, Hon. Akanku Sunday, described Obaro as a dedicated lawmaker whose leadership has brought visible projects and empowerment initiatives to the constituency.

He said the decision to support Obaro for another term was reached after careful consideration of his performance and commitment to the welfare of the people of Yagba East.

The Ward Secretary, Adeyele Babatunde, also reaffirmed the position of the ward executives, noting that the endorsement reflects the collective confidence of party leaders and members in Obaro’s ability to sustain development across the constituency.

Party leaders at the appreciate the Kogi State leader of the party, Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo for his leadership.

The meeting maintained that Obaro’s return to the Assembly in 2027 would ensure continuity of ongoing development efforts and strengthen the voice of Yagba East in the legislative arm of government.

The Ward 08 executives also called on party leaders and executives in the remaining 09 wards of Yagba East to adopt a similar position by endorsing Obaro for another term. They noted that an early show of support for the lawmaker would further strengthen party unity and consolidate the APC’s political base in the local government as consultations gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.
