Abraham Jacob Commends Oba Ibeun for Tertiary Institution Scholarships to Mopamuro Youths, Describes Monarch as a Gift to the People

Hon. Abraham Jacob, a Permanent Member of the Kogi State Health Insurance Agency (KGSHIA), has showered encomiums on the Paramount Ruler of Mopa, His Royal Majesty, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun, the Elulu of Mopa and Chairman of the Mopamuro Local Government Traditional Council, for his deliberate and commendable efforts towards the academic empowerment of youths in Mopamuro Local Government Area.

Hon. Abraham particularly applauded the monarch for his commitment to providing educational opportunities for young people who aspire to acquire tertiary education but are constrained by financial limitations. He described the initiative as a remarkable demonstration of purposeful leadership, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to the welfare and future of the people.

According to Hon. Abraham, Oba Muyiwa has proven to be an answer to the prayers of the Mopa people, particularly the vulnerable members of the community, whose lives have been positively impacted by the monarch’s benevolence. He noted that the King’s generosity has not only provided much needed relief to many families but has also rekindled hope among individuals who had almost abandoned their academic aspirations due to financial difficulties.

He further commended Oba Muyiwa for his consistent efforts in attracting, facilitating, and lobbying for developmental projects across the community. He maintained that such purposeful engagements and the ability to attract meaningful government and institutional interventions are essential ingredients for sustainable communal growth and development. According to him, these efforts create an enabling environment where individuals and communities can access opportunities, improve their living conditions, and achieve greater heights without necessarily having to look beyond their immediate environment.

Hon. Abraham expressed particular delight over the provision of free academic scholarships to over one hundred sons and daughters of Mopa, as well as non-indigenes of the community, to pursue their academic dreams at the Kogi State College of Education, Technical, Mopa.

He described the initiative as a laudable investment in human capital development, stressing that seeing these young people successfully pursue their studies and eventually emerge as holders of the National Certificate in Education (NCE) and other relevant academic qualifications is a source of immense pride and fulfilment.

He further observed that programmes of this nature go beyond providing immediate educational assistance, as they serve as powerful instruments for reducing illiteracy among young people, improving access to quality education, and creating better prospects for employment and career advancement in the wider society.

Hon. Abraham also extended his commendation to the committee saddled with the responsibility of identifying and selecting beneficiaries of the scholarship scheme across the local government. The committee, chaired by Comr. Adeola Simon, the immediate past National President of the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS), was particularly praised for its transparency, diligence, and credible approach to identifying individuals who genuinely require and deserve such support.

He noted that the integrity of the selection process is as important as the scholarship initiative itself, adding that the committee’s commitment to ensuring that the opportunities reach deserving beneficiaries further reinforces the credibility and impact of the monarch’s intervention.

Hon. Abraham maintained that Oba Muyiwa is deliberately positioning Mopa and its people on the right path towards meaningful growth, progress, and sustainable development. He stressed that such selfless contributions to the advancement of the community deserve sincere recognition and appreciation from all well meaning individuals.

The Permanent Member consequently called on all illustrious sons and daughters of Mopa, both at home and in the diaspora, to rally around the monarch and give him the necessary support to sustain his developmental vision for the community. He emphasized that meaningful development can only be achieved and sustained when collective responsibility, genuine love, unity, and unwavering support are demonstrated by all stakeholders.

He further encouraged the Paramount Ruler not to relent or become discouraged in sustaining what he described as a remarkable and enduring legacy of service, generosity, and purposeful leadership. According to him, acts of kindness and investments in the future of young people have lasting consequences, adding that the positive impact of these initiatives will continue to speak volumes for both the monarch and the entire Mopa community for generations to come.

He also clarified that the scholarship initiative extends beyond the Kogi State College of Education, Technical, Mopa, as it encompasses other tertiary educational programmes and institutions available to young people in the community. This, he noted, further demonstrates the breadth of the monarch’s commitment to ensuring that financial constraints do not become an insurmountable barrier to the educational aspirations of Mopa youths.

In conclusion, Hon. Abraham described Oba Muyiwa Ibeun as a rare gift to the people of Mopa, whose commitment to education, human capital development, and community advancement deserves the collective support and appreciation of all. He maintained that investing in the education of young people is, undoubtedly, one of the most enduring ways to secure a prosperous future for any community.
