2027 Elections: Kogi West APC Youths Endorse Leke Abejide, Sunday Karimi, Pledge Grassroots Mobilisation for Victory
APC youths in Kogi West have congratulated Hon. Leke Abejide and Senator Sunday Karimi on emerging as the party’s candidates for the 2027 elections, pledging total grassroots mobilisation and support for their victory and that of President Bola Tinubu.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Youths in Yagba Federal Constituency and Kogi West Senatorial District have congratulated Rt. Hon. Leke Joseph Abejide and Distinguished Senator Sunday Steve Karimi on their emergence as the party’s candidates for the House of Representatives and Senate respectively ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
The youths also pledged to mobilise massive grassroots support across Kogi West to ensure the victory of both candidates, other APC flag bearers and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming general elections.
The endorsement was conveyed in a statement signed by the APC Zonal Youth Leader for Kogi West, Hon. Segun Arogbonlo, who described the emergence of the two lawmakers as a reflection of their record of service, effective representation and commitment to the development of their constituents.
According to Arogbonlo, the confirmation of Abejide and Karimi by the leadership of the APC and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) demonstrates the confidence reposed in them by both the party and the electorate.
“We congratulate our distinguished leaders, Rt. Hon. Leke Abejide and Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, on their emergence as the APC candidates for the 2027 General Elections. Their emergence is a recognition of their dedication, impactful representation and unwavering commitment to the people of Yagba Federal Constituency and Kogi West Senatorial District,” the statement read.
The youth leader commended the National Working Committee of the APC, the Kogi State chapter of the party and other stakeholders for conducting what he described as a transparent, peaceful and credible primary election process.
He noted that the conduct of the primaries reinforced internal democracy within the ruling party and produced candidates with proven leadership capacity, grassroots acceptance and the experience required to sustain quality representation.
According to him, the successful completion of the party’s nomination process has further strengthened the APC’s preparedness for the 2027 general elections.
Arogbonlo assured the candidates that APC youths across Yagba Federal Constituency and Kogi West would deploy their energy, structures and grassroots networks to secure victory at the polls.
He described young people as a critical force in political mobilisation and electioneering, expressing confidence that their active participation would contribute significantly to the party’s success.
“Our youths remain committed to working tirelessly across every ward, community and polling unit to ensure overwhelming victories for Hon. Leke Abejide, Senator Sunday Karimi, all APC candidates and our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the 2027 elections,” he stated.
He further maintained that the emergence of Abejide and Karimi represents the continuation of purposeful leadership, constituency development and people-oriented representation that residents of Yagba Federal Constituency and Kogi West have continued to experience.
Reaffirming the commitment of the APC youth wing to the party’s success, Arogbonlo expressed optimism that unity, effective mobilisation and sustained engagement with voters would position the APC for another electoral victory in the district.
He urged party members and supporters to remain united and focused as preparations intensify for the 2027 general elections.
