Obaro Urges Constituents to Pray for Peace at Easter

Hon. Emmanuel Obaro (DPA, CPAP, RFAI), the lawmaker representing Yagba East Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, has called on his constituents to use the Easter period to pray for peace, unity and sustained development in the area.
Obaro made the call in an Easter message made available to newsmen on Sunday in Yagba East.
He said Easter, which commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, symbolises sacrifice, hope and renewal, urging residents to reflect on its significance by promoting peaceful coexistence.
The lawmaker stressed the need for collective prayers for Yagba East, Kogi and Nigeria at large, noting that peace remains a critical ingredient for growth and prosperity.
“Easter is a season that reminds us of the power of sacrifice, love and redemption. It is also a time to seek God’s face for peace in our land and unity among our people,” he said.
Obaro urged constituents to shun all forms of violence, hatred and divisive tendencies, adding that development can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and mutual understanding.
He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering democratic dividends to the people of Yagba East, while pledging to continue to support initiatives that promote security and welfare of constituents.
The lawmaker also called on community leaders, youths and stakeholders to work together in safeguarding the peace of the constituency.
Obaro wished Christians a joyous Easter celebration and urged them to extend love and kindness to one another during and beyond the festive period.
