Musa Wada: Nigeria’s Future Cannot Be Shaped by Fear, Greed or Corruption
A former governorship candidate in Kogi State, Engr. Musa Wada, has warned that Nigeria’s future must not be determined by fear, greed or corruption, stressing that the country’s progress depends on courageous leadership, integrity and collective responsibility.
Wada made the remark while reflecting on the current state of the nation, noting that many Nigerians are becoming increasingly concerned about the direction of governance and the growing challenges facing the country.
According to him, the survival and prosperity of Nigeria require a renewed commitment to justice, transparency and accountable leadership. He maintained that the nation cannot afford to allow narrow interests and corrupt practices to dictate its political and economic trajectory.
The former gubernatorial candidate observed that Nigeria possesses immense human and natural resources capable of transforming the country into a thriving and prosperous nation if properly harnessed. However, he warned that progress will remain elusive if leadership continues to be driven by selfish ambition rather than service to the people.
Wada further stressed the need for citizens to remain engaged in the democratic process and demand better governance from public office holders. He said the responsibility of building a better Nigeria should not be left solely to political leaders but must involve the active participation of the people.
He also emphasised the importance of integrity, courage and patriotism in leadership, noting that meaningful national development can only occur when leaders are willing to place the interests of the country above personal gain.
According to him, Nigeria stands at a critical moment in its history where decisions taken by leaders and citizens alike will determine whether the nation moves toward stability and growth or continues to struggle with systemic challenges.
Wada concluded by urging Nigerians to remain hopeful and committed to the ideals of democracy, insisting that the future of the country must be built on values that promote justice, accountability and the common good.
