KogiOnlineNg, led by Publisher Hon. J.O. Abel-Ontop, felicitates with teachers in Kogi State, Nigeria and across the world on the 2026 World Teachers’ Day.

KogiOnlineNg has felicitated with teachers in Kogi State, Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of the 2026 World Teachers’ Day, recognising their invaluable contributions to education, human development and the building of future generations.

The Publisher of KogiOnlineNg, Hon. J.O. Abel-Ontop, in a goodwill message marking the annual celebration, described teachers as critical builders of society whose influence extends far beyond the classroom.

According to him, teachers remain among the most important professionals in any society because of their responsibility for nurturing knowledge, character, discipline, creativity and the skills required to prepare young people for the future.

He noted that every profession and institution depends, in one way or another, on the work of teachers, stressing that the contributions of educators to national development deserve continuous recognition and support.

Abel-Ontop particularly celebrated teachers across Kogi State for their commitment to educating children and young people despite the numerous challenges confronting the education sector.

He also extended the felicitation to teachers across Nigeria and educators around the world, acknowledging the shared responsibility they bear in equipping learners with the knowledge and values needed to contribute meaningfully to their communities and the wider society.

The KogiOnlineNg Publisher stressed the importance of creating an environment where teachers are adequately motivated, professionally supported and provided with the necessary resources to perform their duties effectively.

He called for greater attention to teachers’ welfare, continuous professional development and improved learning conditions, noting that quality education cannot be achieved without a motivated and properly supported teaching workforce.

He further urged teachers to remain committed to professionalism, integrity and the continuous pursuit of excellence, while encouraging governments, parents, communities and other stakeholders to work together to strengthen the education system.

“On behalf of KogiOnlineNg, I warmly felicitate with all teachers in Kogi State, teachers across Nigeria and educators around the world on the occasion of the 2026 World Teachers’ Day.

“We celebrate your sacrifices, dedication and commitment to shaping minds and building the leaders, professionals and citizens of tomorrow. Your work may not always receive the recognition it deserves, but its impact remains evident in every generation you help to raise.

“We appreciate you and wish you a rewarding and memorable Teachers’ Day,” Abel-Ontop said.

World Teachers’ Day provides an opportunity to recognise the contributions of teachers to education and society, while drawing attention to the importance of supporting educators and strengthening the teaching profession.
