A Kogi family has appealed to government officials, philanthropists and the general public for financial assistance after a rainstorm destroyed their home, leaving them homeless and in urgent need of ₦2.5 million for rebuilding.

A family in Kogi State has made an emotional appeal to government officials, philanthropists, corporate organisations and compassionate Nigerians for urgent financial assistance after a devastating natural disaster destroyed their home, leaving them without shelter.
The appeal was made by Mrs. Olusegun Tolushe Esther, who said the incident has displaced her family and left them struggling to rebuild their lives.
According to her, the destruction of their residence has rendered the household homeless, forcing family members to depend on the goodwill of others while seeking support to reconstruct the damaged building.
She explained that an estimated ₦2.5 million would be required to restore the house and provide safe accommodation for her family.
Mrs. Esther appealed to individuals and organisations to support the rebuilding effort, noting that every contribution, regardless of the amount, would make a significant difference.
She specifically called on Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, Rep. Leke Abejide, Senator Sunday Karimi, Hajia Aishat Oyiza Omede, Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, the Kogi State Accountant-General, the Commissioner for Finance, the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), as well as other public office holders, business leaders, philanthropists and well-meaning Nigerians to come to the family’s aid.
