Kogi East Aspirant, Alfa Joins Vice President Shettima in Maiduguri for Zulum Family Wedding

Senatorial aspirant for Kogi East, Dr. Mahmoud Bala Alfa, was among those who accompanied Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, to Maiduguri over the weekend for the wedding fatiha of three children and a cousin of the Governor of Borno State, Babagana Umara Zulum.
Dr. Alfa’s presence at the event shows his growing role in national political and social activities, as well as his connection with key leaders across the country.
The ceremony brought together many important figures, including the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, governors, members of the National Assembly, ministers, as well as former governors and their deputies.
One of the key moments of the event was when the Vice President served as Waliyi for Aisha Babagana Zulum. He gave her hand in marriage to the son of the Deputy Governor of Yobe State, Mohammed Idi Barde, in line with Islamic tradition.
Dr. Alfa described the event as a moment that showed unity and strong family values. He noted that such gatherings remind leaders of the need to stay connected to the people.
The Vice President also joined others in prayers for the couples, asking Almighty Allah to bless their homes with peace, patience, and understanding.
Dr. Alfa congratulated the couples and their families, wishing them a happy and peaceful married life.
