Abubakar Ohere Appointed RTIFN Kogi Coordinator as Movement Sets October 12 Town Hall in Lokoja
Former Kogi Commissioner Abubakar Ohere has been named Kogi Coordinator of RTIFN, with Idris Oando as deputy and an October 12 town hall scheduled in Lokoja.

LOKOJA, Kogi State
Former Kogi State Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Abubakar Ohere, has emerged as the new Kogi State Coordinator of Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN), following a change in the leadership of the support movement in the state.
Ohere takes over from Hon. Idris David Zacharias, the member representing Idah Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, who previously served as the movement’s Kogi Coordinator.
The leadership change comes as RTIFN moves to strengthen its grassroots structures and expand its engagements with political and community stakeholders ahead of the 2027 general elections. RTIFN describes itself as a grassroots group promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda and mobilising support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Alongside Ohere’s appointment, Hon. Idris Oando was named Deputy Kogi State Coordinator, while Hon. Amoka Eneji Monday, Chairman of Okehi Local Government Area, was appointed Director of Liaison for the North Central region.
The appointment letters were presented at the movement’s office in Maitama, Abuja, by RTIFN Director-General, Amb. Ahmed Bala, who charged the new officials to justify the confidence placed in them and deploy their experience and networks in strengthening the organisation’s structures across Kogi State and the North Central zone.
Ohere’s emergence comes against the backdrop of recent political developments involving Zacharias, including his reported movement to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and his political plans ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.
The presentation ceremony was witnessed by former Kogi State Deputy Governor Edward Onoja, actor Zack Orji, Hajiya Aishat Oyiza Omade, as well as other national and state officials of the movement.
Meanwhile, the new RTIFN leadership in Kogi is expected to be formally inaugurated on October 12, 2026, during a Town Hall and Stakeholders’ Engagement scheduled to hold in Lokoja.
The engagement is expected to bring together coordinators, political and community leaders, youth and women groups, grassroots organisers and other stakeholders from across Kogi State and the North Central region.
The meeting is expected to provide a platform for the new leadership to outline its plans, engage stakeholders and strengthen coordination of the movement’s activities at the grassroots.
The organisation has, in recent months, held similar town hall and grassroots engagements in other parts of the country as part of its efforts to build its support structures ahead of the 2027 elections. Recent RTIFN engagements have included regional meetings and grassroots mobilisation activities in the South-East and North-West.
For Kogi, the new leadership is expected to begin wider consultations and engagements across the state’s 21 Local Government Areas, with emphasis on strengthening communication between the movement and community-level structures.
The October 12 programme will therefore mark the formal beginning of the new phase of RTIFN activities under Ohere’s coordination in Kogi State.
