Eid-el-Fitr: Gov. Ahmed Ododo Urges Unity, Calls for Prayers for Nigeria’s Peace and Progress

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across the state and Nigeria at large on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a message to commemorate the celebration, the governor congratulated the Muslim Ummah for their dedication to fasting, prayers, and acts of charity throughout the Ramadan period, describing the spiritual exercise as a reflection of discipline, sacrifice, and devotion to God.

Governor Ododo urged Muslims to sustain the virtues of love, peace, tolerance, and selflessness imbibed during Ramadan, noting that these values are essential for building a united and progressive society.

He emphasized the importance of national unity, calling on Nigerians to set aside differences and work collectively towards the peace, stability, and development of the country.

The governor also encouraged citizens to continue praying for Nigeria and its leaders, stressing that divine guidance remains crucial in addressing the nation’s challenges and achieving sustainable progress.

According to him, the Eid-el-Fitr celebration offers an opportunity for reflection, reconciliation, and renewed commitment to peaceful coexistence among people of different religious and ethnic backgrounds.

Governor Ododo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, improved welfare for citizens, and the promotion of harmony across communities in Kogi State.

He wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Fitr celebration, praying that Allah accepts their sacrifices and grants them continued blessings.
