Kogi APC Stakeholders Call for Unity Among Ododo, Karimi and Yahaya Bello Supporters

Concerned stakeholders within the APC in Kogi State have called for unity among supporters of Governor Ahmed Ododo, Senator Sunday Karimi, and former Governor Yahaya Bello ahead of future elections.

KABBA, KOGI STATE — Concerned stakeholders and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State have cautioned party members and political appointees against actions capable of creating division among Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, and former Governor Yahaya Bello.

The call was made amid growing political conversations within the state ahead of future electoral activities.

In a statement made available to journalists in Kabba, political stakeholders stressed that the three leaders remain integral members of the APC family and should not be portrayed as political rivals by individuals pursuing personal interests.

The stakeholders warned against attempts to create unnecessary tension within the party through propaganda, factional politics, and misinformation.

According to them, unity and cooperation within the APC remain critical to sustaining the party’s political strength and developmental agenda in Kogi State.

They noted that the party had grown beyond individual ambitions and urged supporters to place collective interest above personal political gains.

The statement emphasized that Senator Sunday Steve Karimi continues to play a significant role in the political structure of Kogi West, citing his grassroots influence and growing acceptance across the senatorial district.

The stakeholders also described the senator as a loyal party member who has consistently demonstrated willingness to work harmoniously with Governor Ododo in the interest of party unity and governance.

They argued that cooperation among APC leaders would further strengthen support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ododo ahead of future elections.

“Supporters and political appointees must avoid actions capable of creating camps or unnecessary political conflict within the APC. The focus should remain on unity, development, and the collective success of the party,” the statement added.

The stakeholders maintained that many residents across Kogi West continue to support both Senator Karimi and Governor Ododo, stressing that political stability within the APC would benefit the state’s development efforts.

They further appealed to party faithful across the state to embrace peace, loyalty, and mutual respect while discouraging divisive tendencies capable of weakening the ruling party.

Political observers say the appeal reflects growing calls for internal cohesion within the APC as political alignments ahead of the 2027 general elections continue to gather momentum across Kogi State.
