Dove Foods and Confectioneries, a prominent catering and culinary training institute in Lokoja, has graduated its seventh batch of apprentices, reaffirming its commitment to skills development and youth empowerment in Kogi State.

The graduation ceremony, held on Friday in Lokoja, brought together trainees, instructors, and well-wishers to celebrate the successful completion of the programme by the students.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of the institute, Queen Odunayo Abel, stressed the growing relevance of vocational education in addressing unemployment and promoting self-reliance among young people. She noted that practical skills acquisition remains a dependable route to economic independence.

Queen Abel expressed satisfaction with the performance of the graduating trainees, commending their discipline, resilience, and commitment throughout the training period.

“I am proud of the progress recorded by these students. Their dedication to learning and improving their craft has been remarkable, and it is gratifying to see them emerge as skilled professionals,” she said.

Among the graduating cohort, Mrs. Adenike Olaniyan and Miss Folorunsho Mercy distinguished themselves as top-performing students. Both graduates, in separate remarks, appreciated the management of the institution for the opportunity to acquire practical knowledge, describing their trainer as a dedicated mentor with exceptional expertise in the field.
