Okun Development Initiative Sets September 3 for Okun Unity Dialogue 2026 in Abuja
The Okun Development Initiative (ODI), a community development organisation committed to promoting the collective interests and advancement of the Okun people, has announced plans to host the Okun Unity Dialogue 2026, a gathering expected to bring together stakeholders and members of the Okun community for discussions on unity, cooperation and the future of the people.
The programme is scheduled to take place on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Armed Forces Officers Mess & Suites, Asokoro, Abuja.
The dialogue, which carries the theme “One People, One Voice: Okun Unity Dialogue 2026,” is anchored on the sub-theme, “Bridging Differences. Building Unity. Shaping Our Future.”
The initiative is being led by the President of Okun Development Initiative, Deacon Otitoju Olusuyi, under the organisation’s broader commitment to advancing issues that affect the welfare, unity and development of the Okun people.
According to the organisers, the dialogue is conceived as a platform for constructive engagement among Okun stakeholders at a time when the need for greater understanding and collective action remains important to the development of the area.
The programme’s emphasis on bridging differences is expected to provide an opportunity for participants to reflect on areas of disagreement within the community while identifying common interests capable of bringing people together.
