NIPR Kogi Chapter Swears In New Exco, Commits to Professionalism and Unity

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Kogi State Chapter, has inaugurated a new executive council with a commitment to professionalism, inclusiveness, and institutional growth.

LOKOJA — The Kogi State chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has inaugurated a new executive committee with a renewed commitment to advancing professionalism, ethical communication practice, and unity among members.

The inauguration ceremony, attended by public relations practitioners, media professionals, academics, government officials, and students of mass communication from across the state, marked the beginning of a new leadership phase for the institute in Kogi.

Speaking during the event, stakeholders charged the newly inaugurated executives to strengthen the chapter through inclusive leadership, professional excellence, and active engagement with communication stakeholders across the state.

The leadership was also urged to sustain the ethical standards of the public relations profession while creating opportunities for mentorship, advocacy, and institutional growth.

Chairman of the NIPR Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter, Mr. Stanley Ogadigo, FNIPR, reaffirmed the support of the FCT chapter towards the growth and development of the institute in Kogi State.

He encouraged members of the new executive to work collectively in promoting the values and objectives of the institute while strengthening professional relationships within and outside the state.

A major highlight of the event was the administration of the oath of office on the newly elected executive members by the institute’s registrar.

The chapter also unveiled branded advocacy materials aimed at improving its visibility and strengthening outreach efforts during public enlightenment campaigns and student engagement programmes.

The FCT chapter further supported the initiative with a financial contribution towards the production of the branded materials.

The newly inaugurated executive committee is led by Ismaila Isah as Chairman, while Tade Oshaloto serves as Vice Chairman.

Other members of the executive include Mike Abu as Secretary; Fati Ohiare as Assistant Secretary/ICT Officer; Bishop Aturu as Public Relations Officer; Nwankwo Daniel as Welfare Officer; Yemi Balogun as Treasurer; Khadijat Abubakar as Financial Secretary; and Tairu Momoh as Internal Auditor.

Ex-officio members of the committee are Suleiman Ibrahim, Emmanuel Bello, and Austyn Ochu.

The new leadership is expected to drive initiatives aimed at strengthening professional standards, expanding membership participation, and deepening public relations advocacy across Kogi State.
