Kogi West Youths Call on James Faleke to Endorse Senator Sunday Karimi for Second Term
Youth groups in Kogi West have appealed to Rt. Hon. James Faleke to endorse Senator Sunday Karimi for a second term, citing his performance and ongoing development projects.

A coalition of youth groups in Kogi West has called on Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke to endorse Senator Sunday Steven Karimi for a second term in office, ahead of the next electoral cycle.
The appeal was conveyed in a statement issued by Hon. Abdulganiyu Abdullahi, Coordinator of the Northern Youth Advocacy for Development in Kogi West, who said the request reflects the collective position of young people and supporters of the lawmaker across the senatorial district.
According to the group, Senator Karimi has demonstrated a strong track record in delivering constituency projects and empowering residents, warranting continued support for his re-election bid.
They cited ongoing initiatives in infrastructure, education, and human capital development as evidence of the senator’s impact, noting that several projects require continuity for completion.
“The senator has made significant contributions through empowerment programmes, scholarship opportunities, and infrastructure development, including roads and provision of electricity transformers,” Abdullahi stated.
He added that the decision by youths in the district to mobilise support, including facilitating the purchase of nomination forms for Karimi, underscores widespread confidence in his leadership.
Describing Faleke as a longstanding supporter of Kogi West and a respected political figure, the group appealed to him to lend his voice and influence in support of Karimi’s second-term ambition.
“Rt. Hon. Faleke has consistently shown commitment to the progress of Kogi State. We believe his endorsement at this time will further strengthen unity and development in the district,” the statement read.
The youths maintained that their appeal is driven by a desire to sustain ongoing development efforts and ensure that key projects initiated by the senator are brought to completion.
They expressed optimism that Faleke would consider their request, noting that his support would carry significant weight within political and grassroots circles in Kogi West.
The call comes amid early political alignments and consultations ahead of forthcoming elections, as stakeholders across Kogi State begin to position for future contests.
