The Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Strategic Investment and Liaison with Federal Agencies, Ambassador Chief Hassiat Ozavize Suleiman, has been appointed as the North-Central Woman Patroness of Team Tinubu 2027, a political support group championing grassroots mobilisation for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general election.
Her appointment was confirmed in an official letter signed by Bishop Stephen Adegbite, Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), who also serves as the Chaplain of Aso Villa and National Grand Patron of the political support group.
Team Tinubu 2027 is one of the emerging political platforms mobilising support structures across the country in anticipation of President Tinubu’s expected second-term bid. The group is reportedly backed by influential figures within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), with the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, serving as its National Grand Patroness.
Presenting the appointment letter, Bishop Adegbite described Ambassador Suleiman as a tested mobiliser whose commitment to women empowerment, grassroots political engagement, and strategic leadership made her a natural fit for the role.
According to him, the appointment was in recognition of her “proven capacity in human management, grassroots coordination, and dedication to political mobilisation,” adding that her experience would be instrumental in strengthening support for the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda across the North-Central region.
In her new role, Suleiman is expected to coordinate women-focused mobilisation efforts, reinforce the support base of the APC in the geopolitical zone, and provide strategic leadership in advancing the objectives of Team Tinubu 2027.
She will also be tasked with participating in high-level stakeholder engagements, supporting advocacy campaigns, and offering strategic counsel to the leadership of the organisation as it expands its operations ahead of the next electoral cycle.
Reacting to the appointment, Ambassador Suleiman expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in her, describing the position as both an honour and a responsibility.
She pledged to deploy her experience and network in delivering on the group’s mandate, assuring that she would work diligently to strengthen women’s participation in the mobilisation efforts for President Tinubu’s continuity agenda.
“This appointment is a call to greater service, and I am deeply honoured by the trust placed in me. I remain committed to advancing the ideals of the organisation and supporting the collective vision for national progress,” she said.
Ambassador Suleiman has built a reputation over the years as a strong advocate for women empowerment, youth inclusion, and community mobilisation. Her political involvement at the grassroots level has earned her recognition as one of the leading female mobilisers in Kogi State and beyond.
Her political mobilisation profile dates back to the 2015 general elections when her group, Harbingers of Change for Good Governance, was selected among several volunteer organisations to support the presidential campaign of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari and the then First Lady, Aisha Buhari.
Operating under the platform of Aisha Buhari Volunteer Workers, the group coordinated grassroots mobilisation efforts from the Federal Capital Territory to Kogi State and was later officially commended by the former President for its contribution to the electoral success of the APC.
She also played a significant role during the 2023 presidential election, serving in various support groups that worked to galvanise voter support for President Tinubu.
Political observers say her appointment reflects the increasing importance of women-led grassroots structures in shaping early political momentum ahead of the 2027 elections.
The development also signals the beginning of broader consultations and strategic alignments among political support groups seeking to consolidate support for President Tinubu’s administration, especially in key regions such as the North-Central.
As the political landscape gradually begins to take shape ahead of the next general election, appointments such as Suleiman’s are expected to strengthen the grassroots mobilisation framework of the APC and expand the reach of pro-Tinubu support networks.
